So who am I?

My photo
Lucy Hexter
I create ink images intended to be enjoyed and appreciated by children and adults alike. My work is based from observation of the world around me and then translated through imagined characters and their environments. I use a palette of bright and muted colour to express the mixture of fun and sadness in the everyday lives of my characters and to communicate emotion and atmosphere. The subjects of my work have true-life characteristics sometimes reflecting the less attractive traits that we see in ourselves but that allow viewers to recognize and relate to them while still being visually attractive. I hope you enjoy!
